Artist Statement: In his latest series of work, Joshua Harriman makes small plein air oil paintings that focus on natural light and employ a limited palette. Working outside is an enjoyable experience for him and lets him feel connected to his surroundings. My goal with this series is to make a painting in a single session that expresses something about that particular place and time.
