Artist Statement: Kim Davenport is a classically-trained pianist. During the COVID pandemic, she has been sharing recordings - both solo and in socially-distant collaboration with other artists - of music from her home studio in Tacoma's Lincoln District. She has also been utilizing this moment to focus her attention on music by Black composers, work which will continue to inform her performance as a soloist, a collaborative artist, and a teacher. #BlackLivesMatter #BlackComposersMatter
