Artist Statement: Sharon Styer has photographed Tacoma since she moved here 14 years ago. Highlights include: organizing Photo Safaris, receiving the Tacoma Artist Initiative Grant in 2011 and 2020, a solo show entitled, The Night Watchman at Fulcrum Gallery, and numerous juried shows throughout Puget Sound. In 2017 Styer began cutting, embroidering, and collaging her old photographs. This progressed to her current endeavors as a collage artist.
